Marking Remembrance Sunday from your home

Due to the lockdown we may not hold a service in church or go to the War Memorial at the Castle. Instead, we can  stand on our doorsteps at 11 am to remember all those who have died in both World Wars and many other conflicts.

The Town Council have arranged a very short service at the war memorial incorporating the two minutes’ silence at 11.00 am. Attendance at the service at the war memorial in the Castle Grounds will be restricted to wreath layers only and social distancing measures will be observed. The war memorial area will be closed to members of the public so as to avoid a mass gathering.

You can download an order of service for the wreath laying at the War Memorial here Town Remembrance Service and/or you can follow the service on Ribble FM or online at http://www.ribblefm.com/

Borough Printing are producing posters to remember Clitheroe soldiers who did not come home. The posters are £4.00, with £2.00 going to the Poppy Appeal.
