Queueing round the block on Christmas Eve

Families flocked to St Mary Magdalene’s for the Christingle service on Christmas Eve when over 700 people packed the pews upstairs and down. A large cast of shepherds, angels, wise men and of course Mary, Joseph and the infant Jesus presented a Nativity play interspersed with well known carols. Traditional Christingles were distributed and lit at the end of the service as Vicar Andy Froud dedicated the Christmas Crib.
Thank you to everyone who supported the work of the Children’s Society.
The church is open most days except Wednesday from 11am – 3 pm so come in and see the crib.
