News from Clitheroe United Reformed Church

Clitheroe United Reformed Church is now part of the East Lancashire Missional Partnership of ten churches including Clitheroe, Burnley and Blackburn among others.

Recent News

The Rev Adam Woodthorne is already working in the partnership and is soon to be joined by the Rev Gilbert Esambé. Both ministers will work across the partnership but the Mr. Esambé has already moved to a newly acquired manse in Clitheroe from where he will go out to the different churches – and sometimes to Clitheroe URC.

Mr. Esambé will be inducted at 2 pm on Saturday 18th November at Revidge Fold URC in Blackburn. The church is on Shear Brow, BB1 8DS. Members of churches in Clitheroe are welcome to attend the service.

It will be a busy weekend for Inductions as Rev Dr. Judith Clark will be Instituted and Inducted as Vicar of the Benefice of Clitheroe, Chatburn and Downham at 7pm the next day, Sunday November 19th, in St. Mary Magdalene’s Church, Clitheroe. All are invited to that service too.

Please pray for both Gilbert and Judith as they prepare to take up the work to which God has called them.
