Prayer Board in the Alleys Chapel

In the Alleys Chapel immediately to the left as you enter St Mary’s through the glass door (South Door) is a Prayer Board and a selection of pens and sticky notes, Anyone visiting the church at any time is able to leave a request for prayer by sticking it to the board.

This is read by others, effectively meaning that the prayer is repeated and the person requesting it is also held up before God – prayers are left anonymously, but the whole situation, including who left the request, is known to our Heavenly Father, Who knows, loves and listens to us all.

After two weeks, the prayer is moved to the book hanging beside the board to make room for further prayer requests and to enable people to read the prayers over again. There are also tealights for those wishing to light one to accompany their prayer.
