Rev Paul Sherwood will be licensed to St. Mary Magdalene’s Clitheroe and St. Leonard’s Downham on Wednesday, 26th November. The service will be in St. Mary Magdalene’s church.
Announcement
We are pleased to announce that the Revd Paul Sherwood has been appointed as Assistant Curate of Clitheroe, Chatburn and Downham, subject to the usual safer recruitment checks. A pastoral scheme is underway to separate the current Benefice into two benefices; Paul will be named as incumbent of Clitheroe St Mary and Downham St Leonard when the new benefice comes into effect. Paul is currently Rector of Trinity Anglican Church, Simcoe, in the Diocese of Huron, Canada and Regional Dean of Brant-Norfolk, Canada.
Please do be praying for Paul as he prepares to move and take up his new post. The Bishop of Blackburn plans to license Paul late Autumn. A date for his service will be confirmed in due course.
