We have a very special recital on Tuesday 19th February at 1.00 pm, given by James Lancelot.
James is one of our most distinguished church musicians and one of the country’s foremost organ recitalists. He began his musical career as a boy chorister at St. Paul’s Cathedral, gained his FRCO diploma whilst still at school, was organ scholar at King’s College Cambridge under Sir David Wilcox, Sub Organist at Winchester Cathedral, and has recently retired from Durham Cathedral where he was Master of the Choristers & Organist for 32 years. This retirement was rather short lived as he is now acting Director of Music at Worcester Cathedral.
We are very honoured that James is happy to come to Clitheroe to play for us and I hope you will support us and put this date in your diary.
